About our founders
Hi and thank you for checking out our charity!
Our names are Eric and Shelly Eichner and we live in Waterloo, IL. Eric moved into Monroe County during grade school and Shelly has lived here all her life, We are fortunate to have been raised by two wonderful mothers who showed us unconditional love and how to help others.
We have become part of the community over the years, starting with House of Neighborly Service and continuing with founding Swing Fore Monroe County. When we were approached about how we could help a family that we had never met, we immediately put our thinking hats on and made our first fundraiser the best we could. Without the help of Natalie Klopmeyer, Sarah Deutch and Cassie Lutz, our dream to help others would never have started. We had a lot of help with friends and eventually took the leap to create a formal 501(c)3 in 2022.
Currently, our biggest fundraiser is the annual golf tournament held every year in September. In 2024, we added a few smaller fundraisers, an Easter Egg delivery and a SuperBowl pool. In an effort to help people throughout the year, we felt is was necessary to add a couple fundraisers, which have proven to be important. We feel so much love when families that we have helped in the past continue to be our biggest supporters by helping and spreading the word.
We both currently are still working full time at our "everyday jobs", Eric at 24/7 Onsite Cameras and Shelly at Instinct Pet Food, but we will always have time to help our community. We are constantly meeting people who ask if we accept donations throughout the year, whether they are monetary or something we can use in a silent auction. It is with the help of others that we have grown at the rate we have.
